Proper Attire: Wear appropriate Bharathanatyam attire, such as a traditional saree or a dance costume with a dhoti, along with suitable dance jewelry. For practice, comfortable clothes that allow free movement are acceptable.
Footwear: Practice is done barefoot. Ensure feet are clean before entering the dance area.
Personal Hygiene: Maintain personal cleanliness and wear neatly tied hair. Avoid strong perfumes or lotions that might cause discomfort or distraction.
Safety: Inform the instructor of any injuries or physical conditions that might affect your ability to participate. Follow safety guidelines to prevent injury.
Respectful Conduct: Show respect to the instructor, fellow students, and the art form. Disruptive behavior or talking during instruction is not permitted.
Listening and Communication: Listen attentively during demonstrations and instructions. If you have questions or need clarification, raise your hand and wait for your turn to speak.
Focus and Engagement: Stay focused on the class and actively participate. Practice the steps and techniques taught during the session and at home if possible.
No Food or Drink: Refrain from eating or drinking in the dance area. Water bottles should be kept outside the practice space.
6. Equipment and Property
Handling Equipment: Take care of any dance equipment, props, or costumes. Report any damages or issues to the instructor immediately.
Cleanliness: Leave the dance space clean and organized. Put away any personal items and ensure the area is tidy for the next use.
7. Performance and Practice

Performance Etiquette: If participating in performances or recitals, adhere to the dress code and rehearsal schedules. Be punctual and prepared for performances.
