Kalaalayam Samstha proudly presents its Monthly Showcase Series — an exclusive platform created to encourage and celebrate young and budding Bharathanatyam artists.

Every month, one talented artist is featured in this special studio presentation, offering them an opportunity to perform in an intimate and professional setting that highlights the purity, discipline, and beauty of classical dance.

This initiative is non-commercial — no participation fee, no performance fee, and no tickets. The showcase is open to all audiences, aiming purely to inspire, motivate, and honor sincere students of Bharatanatyam.

Eligibility Highlights

• Must have learned Bharatanatyam (or relevant classical art form) for a minimum of 4 years.

• Must be above 10 years of age.

• Must have completed the Junior Grade Examination (KSEEB or equivalent).

• Dancers from Senior Grade and above are also eligible.

• The performance duration must not exceed 45 minutes.
  Selected artists will be informed at least 3 months prior to their scheduled performance.
  All chosen performers will receive an official Certificate of Participation from Kalaalayam Samstha.

Important notice for the Artist

Kalaalayam Samstha welcomes applications from aspiring artists for its Monthly Showcase initiative. Kindly note that submission of an application does not guarantee allocation of a performance opportunity.

Due to the large volume of applications received, the minimum waiting period to hear from us is up to 6 months. Candidates are kindly requested to remain patient during this process. We truly appreciate your interest and are equally excited about the opportunity to have you perform with us.

Applicants are encouraged to regularly follow our Instagram page (@Kalaalayamsamstha) and also "The Showcase” section on our website for updates on the list of shortlisted artists.

All applications are carefully reviewed, and selections are made strictly based on merit, suitability, and alignment with the artistic vision of the program.

In cases where an applicant is not shortlisted, it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:

• The performance may not meet the required artistic standards or expectations

• The submitted video link is inaccessible, incomplete, or unclear

• The application does not align with the objectives and vision of the showcase

• The performance may require further refinement under the guidance of the Guru

• Necessary permission from the Guru has not been obtained

• The intent or presentation of the performance does not align with the ethos of the program

Kalaalayam Samstha reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the selection of performers.
